Cocktails

I have worked two full days in a row and I'm rat rooted! And I can't believe I wanted a full time job. Ha! I am definitely keen for this kept woman/lady of leisure life very soon! I have to work tomorrow as well but I have to do stock take on all the gifts so the shop will be closed...thank god~! Tomorrow afternoon I am heading to Newcastle to catch up with some lovely ladies and drink cocktails all afternoon/night then head out for some dancing.

We are making two cocktails throughout the night. This one is Midori Splice.

And Japanese Slipper.

I've never tried Japanese Slipper so I am looking forward to it.

I bought a top today as well...but I am so lazy to take a photo of it. I'll probably wear it tomorrow so I'll take a photo then. It's only 6pm and I;m so tired...maybe this wine is doing it to me.

Have a lovely weekend ladies!

Pret-ty

Pretty, is what Ben said when he quickly opened his eyes when I came to kiss him goodbye before work...while he was snuggled in bed. I like when he calls me pretty.

I decided to wear my new skirt to work today. I felt uncomfortable my whole shift! Luckily it was only for 4 hours. Don't know if it was my tights, the skirt or my underwear but it was really annoying me!!

Cardigan: Forecast, Top: Glassons, Skirt: Tightrope, Tights: Supre and Boots: RMK

I saw a tag on Em from Passion for Fashion where you post a picture of yourself that you like and tell us six positive things about yourself....

This photo was taken at my friend Natalie's wedding March this year. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Ben seems to dance much better than me when we dance together. I'm always stepping on his toes. I can't remember what we were laughing at, but I'm glad we're laughing.

1. I have a good sense of humour and I love laughing!!! I laugh at the silliest and stupidest things ever! I think that's why Ben and I have lasted so long as we like being silly and we don't take each other so seriously.

2. At the moment I am one very happy girl. I have finally realised what I want to do with my life and I have come to terms with being back at home where I grew up. I was negative about being back home, like most people are when they move back here. Ben has a good job and hopefully getting a better one very soon, I'm about to start creating my own little accessories, I have fantastic friends and I am getting married next year!

3. I am a hard worker. I have both my Mum and Dad to thank for this. My parents are workaholics and have a great work ethic. I hope my children will carry on this trait as well. I dislike when people go on and on the Gen Y are lazy...not all Gen Y are lazy!!!

4. I am creative. I wasn't the smartest kid at school but I am definitely creative. A friend said to me at school that she can see me doing a job with my hands...hence sewing...etc

5. I am a great cook! i love cooking food for people, especially Ben.

6. I am a friendly person, once I get over the shyness. I like meeting and making new friends!

Feel free to tag yourself!!!

Happy Hump Day! I can't believe it's only Wednesday! FARK!

A girl can never have too many shoes!

I personally don't think I have that many shoes...but some people might think I do, like my other half Ben. Sunday we were heading out to the vineyards and he was trying to find his thongs amongst the shoe basket at the front door. He then whinged and whined about how many of my shoes were in there.

I said "There's hardly any of my shoes in there!" so the smartie pants decided to get all out and count them.

OK, so like 9 pairs of shoes...So what? He he he. I had been given the hard word to put them in my wardrobe. So today I threw two pairs out. The pink converse and the white gallaz ones next to them. They had holes in them so best they went in the bin.. So all the shoes are happily in my wardrobe with all the other shoes... I am too scared to see how many shoes I really do have. one day I'll check.

Today I did some little retail therapy. I am having a little cocktail evening with some friends this Saturday in Newcastle as our partners are in Melbourne for a buck show so perfect time a girls night out. I'm trying to stop buying dresses, until Summer of course and buy more tops.. and ones that have colour.

This top is actual purple not blue. This is a Ladakh top, it's a Australian brand and they are very affordable. this top was $59.99

Another Ladakh top, see I couldn't help myself I had to buy black. this top was $69.99

Got these killer Siren heels for  $69 I think.... they were on sale. there were some really nice brown platforms but they didn't have my size. They might look super high and scary but I think they would be comfortable because the platform is so thick.

And I got this skirt two weekends ago for only $10.00!! BARGAIN! I love the bow detail on the waist.

So I think that's me shopping for another few weeks..wink wink!!!

Etsy and Wedding Mode

Sorry AGAIN for the lack of posts. I've been spending so much time on trying to get my etsy shop together. And I purchased a pre made etsy shop set so I'm waiting on that to be emailed to me. Then, waiting on all  the supplies from overseas, I have so many ideas I'm worried I'll run out of them by the time I start getting creative. It's killing me I can't do anything without any supplies or material.

Here is a question for any of you Etsy buyers/sellers. I have bought supplies off etsy so I can make earrings, hair clips etc and I want to sell them on etsy.... Can I do this? am I breaking some sort of etsy rule as I can't find it on their site.

On top of this I am trying to find a caterer for our wedding. Everyone just seems to jack up the price for the staff, function managers and chefs it's ridiculous. My aim this weekend is to sit down with Ben and go through menus. We are having a cocktail wedding as I dislike the thought of sitting down to eat a three course meal. I rather have more time to mingle with everyone. Then we had a heated discussion at the pub tonight because I don't want his cousins there...so we are now inviting all 15 of his cousins!!! I come from a small family so cousins aren't a biggie for me.

Anyway I was in the process of growing my hair for my wedding which isn't until the November 2011. So last week when I got my haircut I just got it trimmed and didn't get a drastic hairdo. But I am having second thoughts and going to start growing it the end of this year. Here is how I'm growing it... ok it might look like it now but my hair is shaved around the sides and back so I need to grow this out.

Oh how I love Agyness!

Have a lovely weekend! xxx

Cruising in Style!

Why hello there Ladies!! did we all have a amazing weekend? I surely did. Friday I went on a wine tour for a friends birthday. The sneaky little thing told us we had a mini bus but when we walked outside it was a stretch limo... courtesy of MOI! I emailed her a link of the website but didn't think she was going to get a limo.

Yes, I know beer on a wine tour silly right? There is a beer brewery called Blue Tongue and there's a few of us girls that are beer drinkers. We started off there first.

Here is my outfit.

It was such a beautiful day as well, the weather was lovely.

I am having issues with my username/brand name for my etsy shop. I was going to go for PipSqueek or Pipsqueak but so many other people already have it. So here a couple I've come up with and let me know what you think........

1. PippiCQ. With this one ny surname is Seque and it's pronouced see-que... or CQ.

2. pipala

I'm not using pipalachic as I don't want my blog to be attached to it. I want to sell my accessroeis in my home town and I'd prefer certian people not to know about it. I live in a small gossipy town...everyone is narrow minded here.

HELP!!!

Just one teaspoon please

Finally got my One Teaspoon dress I bought off eBay and it fits like a dream! I'm really looking forward to the vineyards this Friday. That's one good side of living here, I don't live very far from all the vineyards.

As soon as I got the dress I went to see my Mum to scab some boots off her. So I took these ones...I'm so glad I fit into her shoes.

My mum is so cute. When she came home from the club (she loves the pokies) she called me to see what boots I had taken as all her boots were there still. I told her the ones in her wardrobe on the floor. She didn't believe me and I had to describe the boots to her and she kept saying (in her Filipino accent) "No, I don't have 'boots like that!" Then after about 2 minutes of the both of us laughing she finally figures it out.....You know the scary thing, I am becoming more and more like my Mum!

It's my friends Rachelle's birthday this Friday, hence why we're going to the vineyards. I made this frame for her today to give to her.

I'm working a full day tomorrow my first one this week... god I live a hard life!

Stripey Sue

I think I have posted this dress before, but I'll post it again :)
I bought this dress off eBay a while ago and it's so comfy. I get alot of lovely comments when I wear it which is nice... I get a few weird looks too but MEH.

Dress: eBay, Long sleeve Top: Surpe, Stockings: Bonds, Shoes: Aldo, Bangle/beads:Diva

Sunday I got the muslin done of the dress I am making. From now I am doing a test of everything I make. I showed Ben the dress tonight and and he said to go down a size. So tonight I'll trace out a smaller size pattern and cut out the dress in my fabric! YAY! It was fairly easy and the instructions were so easy to understand... I am very thick at times :)

Hopefully in a few days it will be done!

Sewing Mojo

Since I have started my three days off I thought I better utilise this time and clean my sewing room which I did yesterday. here is before and after shot.

So it looks ok for now. i think it gets so messy as I get ready in this room too... I do my hair, make up and iron my clothes so you can imagine all the clothes I would normally have all over the floor by the end of the week.

Above is my sewing table where I obviously do all my sewing. This desk is from my work, my sister in law asked if wanted it and thought it would be perfect. One day I would like a bigger table so I can do attempt to remember how to pattern make. Sitting on the floor cutting my patterns is not doing my back any help.

All my friends are out of town this weekend, Ben is night shift all weekend so I'm tip toeing around the house while he sleeps. So what a perfect opportunity to get my sewing mojo back as I have several patterns I haven't tried out. I went for a drive to the nearest Spotlight this morning and grabbed a few things to sew a dress. This is the pattern I am using.

Easy Trace is what I use to trace my patterns onto. As when you buy patterns there are several sizes. I prefer to trace them out in case I need to use a different size. Plus they are easy to fold up and put away into a folder.

So I'm off to wash my fabric and start tracing my pattern..... Wish me luck as I need it. I'm impatient and most of the time I can never finish something because it's either the wrong size or I've had enough. Such a true sewer aren't I? :)

Have a great weekend guys!

Really has a dress addiction!

I did something really STUPID this afternoon. I decided to have a look on eBay for a cute dress to wear to the vineyards next week. I came across a One Teaspoon dress/tunic and had to have it...$52 later (including postage) OUCH! I got the dress...but I can't wait to wear it. Somehow I have to find $52.00 to put back in the bill account...oops.

Tomorrow is Friday and I have a long weekend YAY!!! And next week another long weekend!

Why not follow your dreams!

I have ordered all my supplies for my new little project and decided to go with the name PipSqueek for the brand. It really has gone into place as I am so impatient with finding a job this will keep me out of trouble until I get bored...let's hope I don't though. I finally told the other half and he was happy for me. I guess he's used to my crazy ideas that are in my head and then I get over them so quickly. Ben is waiting on two permanent jobs at two separate coal mines that he has applied for. If he gets either one it will really set us up for the rest of our lives. I was whinging and whining about not getting a job and Ben said to me, "If I get a new job, you can just stay home and sew dresses" Oh bless him! I think I would get terribly bored if I didn't work. But hey if it turns out well I might just sew dresses in my little sewing room.

Here is a little sneak peak of what is to come

Sucks that Australia doesn't have much in supplies... and if we do it's very expensive. On the weekend I am hoping to make it to Spotlight and source fabric to make button earrings as well.

Oooooo I love Hello Kitty and Kawaii!!!

Better luck next time hey....

Thank you all for the kind wishes for my interview but I didn't get the job at eQUIP :(
So now I play the waiting game to see if I get the other position.

BUT I do have an exciting new project I am going to start that I can still do in my spare time and casually work as well. I don't want to give away too much. I'm about to order all my supplies off http://etsy/ and will have to patiently wait for them to arrive so I can start getting creative.
And no I won't be making clothes.... more like accessories and I will sell them through etsy!! I am really excited and can't wait to start.

I haven't told anyone...not even the other half...the best friend...so feel special! :)

ARghh...bloody Monday tomorrow boo hoo!
