The Return!

Hello Ladies! Sorry for the lack of effort been trying to back to reality since returning from Melbourne. I had an absolute awesome time at AC/DC, you all will be disappointed that I didn't take any outfit shots and didn't wear my blue dress. Didn't want to get it wrecked. Here are a few pics from the night.

I must say AC/DC is in my top two of best bands I have seen live, with Rage Against the Machine being number 1. They might be old bastards but they know how to rock and put on a fantastic show.

After AC/DC Sunday morning we flew to Melbourne for Good Vibes. It was by far the BEST festival I have ever been too. I refuse to go to any other festival in Sydney from now on. All Sydney festivals sell out and the rest of the capitals cities never do. The people are more friendler, there wasn't any teeny boopers, and I wasn't standing in the drink and toilet line for hours. Melbourne how I love you so much! I would move there in a flash but I can't stand the weather. They have four seasons in one day there, it's amazing.

I am even more ashamed as I hardly shoppped. I walked up and down Chapel Street... and alas I could not find jack shit. I don't understand why some shops buy vintage clothes and then put there own labels on it and charge over $150???? I just don't fucken get it!!! And most things I found we had it NSW anyway so I couldn't justify spending lots of money on stuff I didn't need. And maybe I think because I had money I couldn't find anything. You know when you don't have money you can find lots of things! ARGH!!!

I'll post up in a couple of days what I got in Melbourne.

Ladies I'll be M.I.A untill Wednesday. Heading to Sydney today for AC/DC then flying to Melbourne Tomorrow morning. AC/DC outfit has been changed, I forgot we were on the floor and I have looking on YouTube and the news of the previous AC/Dc shows in Aus...and my gosh I'm going to be crushed so not so lovely dresses should be left in my suitcase.

What to wear.. what to wear?

Thanks ladies for all the uplifting comments, I'm feeling a little more inspired today! Yesterday I had the day off and travelled to Newcastle to get my haircut. I was naughty and bought a couple of things.

Dress from Tempt for $19.95. I love the frill as it hides my little pot belly.

Red bag from Equip for $19.99. I got this bag to take to Good Vibrations this Sunday.

Ok so in my last post I was undecided what to wear to AC/DC. Well the lovely RandomLondonGirl suggested I wear my elecrtic blue dress. I don't think its too dressy, plus we want to go out afterwards for a few drinks in the city so this outfit is perfect.

Dress: Ladakh, Bangles: Diva, Bag: Very very old had it since I was 15, Sandals: ShoeBox

I'm going to wear my hair up like, Rihanna/Pink style so this will make the outfit less dressy, I guess it will bring some edgy feel to it.

I think this more suited for AC/DC but I want to wear my dress. If it's really hot I won't wear the dress as it's that type of material when you sweat you can see the marks...eeewwwwww!

Now for my Good Vibrations outfit. I looked at the Melbournes weather forecast says Max 34 degrees Min 21 degress. I can handle that just don't rain Melbourne!!!

I'm pretty stoked with my good vibes outfit, I'm really looking forward to wearing this dress finally. Tomorrow night I'm going out with the girls we are all poor so we are taking advantage of the free champagne at a local pub hehehe. I might wear the new dress that I bought yesterday.

No Inspiration!

Sorry for the lack of post... feeling somewhat uninspired. Nothing really is inspiring me at the moment. I've been stressing over our wedding which may I add isn't until the November 2011!!! I hate that you have to book your venue and photographer way in advance... It's doing my head in.

I'm off the Newcastle tomorrow to get my haircut so maybe I'll feel a little more perky after that. I think to get me back into blog and fashion mode I might go put together some outfits for AC/DC this Saturday night and Good Vibrations Festival in Melbourne this Sunday.

Faaaaaarrrkkkkkk what am I going to wear. I can't buy anything because I'm putting money for  very hot dress for my friends Natalie's hen's weekend and then for her wedding.. I;m so excited!

Buying gym clothes really isn't fun....

This isn't the most exciting post but hey I had nothing else to do. I've been going to the gym quite alot in the past few months. I drag myself out of bed at 6am and head to the gym, I feel alot better afterwards. A few weekend's ago I went to my sister in laws Intimo party. You're thinking, "what the hell is Intimo?" It's a high quality designer lingerie brand from Australia that is available through peoples homes. Like people have Tuppaware parties, you have a Intimo party. I decided to go all out and bra a decent sports bra for................ $75AUD!?!? Yes I think that's pretty extreme for underwear. I know alot people spend good money on bras and underwear but I don't that much. I rather buy some killer heels or a funky dress. But I might consider spending more money on good quality underwear.

I've worn it twice so far, and it feels GREAT! Ben wasn't too impressed as I used his credit card. He wanted something sexy, but then realised that it was a good idea getting a new sports bra.

Did you know that you shouldn't do your bra up from the front and then spin it around? You're actually stretching the fabric. So since that party I've been practising doing it up from the back and I must say I'm getting it down packed at the moment.

Another bra tip, when hanging out your bra to dry you should hang it so the middle of the bra is on the clothes line. If you hang it by one ene of the bra you're actually strecthing the material as well. I was so happy to hear all this advice.

Oh and always hand wash your bras! It really doesn't take that long. Why not hand wash them whilst in the shower?

One of my good friends works in a sports store. I took her to the airport this morning at 6am before work (mind you the airport is one hour hr) so she said she would go halves in these tights I want from her work. I am such a tight arse when it comes to gym clothes it's horrible. I picked the Nike Dri-Fit tights, they stay cool when it heats up, pretty cool hey? They are $59.99, I'm like Pffft I'm not paying that, when I can easily pay $150-$200 for jeans. They feel so good on and I'm testing them out tomorrow morning!!

But here's something more exciting! I purchased this dress off eBay the other night for $21.00 including postage...BARGAIN!

Alteration Machine!

Hello my lovlies! Sorry for the absence...like four days, like you care! joking joking! All last week my right arm was beginning to hurt (some say RSI) as I use the computer for long periods of time as TV really isn't exciting me at the moment. Plus Ben has been playing PS3 online with his two other mates that live in other states so I've been reverting to the computer, but alas I cannot anymore. So less time and frequent breaks when using the computer is a must for me. Which is oh so very sad for me as I love catching up on everyones blog's.

So Sunday I couldn't watch TV (someone was playing gaystation, ah I mean playstation), and I couldn't use the computer (END OF THE WORLD) so I altered two vintage dresses I bought off ebay that I was hoping to do the week before. Here is what they turned out like.

This one I just unpicked the top bit and cut it shorter and sewed the skirt up higher.

I took in the side seams and madethe armhole smaller.

My love for vintage clothes is slowly building up. I like to wear different and unique clothes so I stand out.

I am going to a festival in Melbourne in a couple of weeks, I am thinking of wearing one of these dresses to the festival, fingers crossed it's not raining.

Electric Blue!

Last night I headed to Ben's brothers as they wanted to have dinner and cake with me for my birthday. On Wednesday I went into a local shop and laybyed a dress for a friends wedding, I found this other beautiful electric blue dress but I didn't have enough money for it so I put it back on the rack. My sister in laws friend owns that shop she went in there hoping to find something I would of liked, and the dress was still there. I was so stoked when I opened my present.... I'm vowed to wear more colour now too

I ordered some shoes online the other week. When I got them I didn't like them so I returned them and got these instead. I got a black as well but one shoe has loud plastic noise whenever I walk so I refuse to wear them. Do you think I should take them to a shoe repair? They only cost me $19.95 so I'm not returning again, I hate being a retail customer pain in the ass. They are the most comfortable shoes ever, I wore them for a whole shift yesterday 9:30-6pm and my feet didn't ache at all.

Then Wednesday afternoon I had a little sneak in a another local shop called Chocolate Delicious Footwear. The girl who owns it is very young about 21-22 and she has some beautiful shoes in there. I got these heels for $20 and I now know why! They don't even stand up right but I put them on they are fine and they look HOT on!!!

Last night I had too much of coca cola, lollies and chocolate and it took me ages to fall asleep. Hence why I'm up early..... And I'm trying to cut back on my internet addiction. It's that bad that my right arm (my mouse arm) gets really sore and cramped.. oh my god it's hurting now and it's only 7am! ARGH!

Some moron sent me a text at 1:49am and wrote "Hey u awake" I wrote back at 6:26am "I am now...Are you awake?" I don;t evenknow the number...WEIRD!

WHAT'S EVERYONE'S PLANS THIS WEEKEND?

Ben and I are sitting down tonight and discussing our wedding plans which is exciting, I have a baby shower tomorrow afternoon as well....

A Very Interesting Birthday

First of all I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to all you lovely ladies for wishing me a amazing birthday. I had a very interseting day, here is how it turned out.

Ben comes home from work Tuesday morning down in the dumps, a machine he worked on blew up and it cost the company lots of money. So he got a tune up and a written warning. He comes home, obviously upset and disappointed in himself and tells me the story. So for the next few hours before I start work I sit there waiting for him to say Happy Birthday....Nothing. So I storm off to work (as you do) without saying goodbye. After 10 mintues he realises what's going on and tried to call me but I fail to answer (Yes I'm a nasty bitch). So after a few text messages and me crying all the way to work, a few hours into work this is what turned up.

SO as soon as I got that, I cried even more as I felt terrible. As he did have alot on his mind and I was being so selfish. SO my day got better after that. Here is what I wore to work yesterday. It's the dress I bought off eBay a few weeks ago.

While I was walking to get my lunch a lady stopped me and said "Oh what a lovely dress you're wearing?" I said thanks to her then she said "It's so lovely to see young girls like you wearing dresses like that"... Ah young girls? Should this be a compliment? Maybe I should start dressing abit older? Nah... I don't think so. 

After work the girls took me out to dinner to a new pub that has been done up. Here are what pressies I got.

Corrine got all this stationary stuff from a shop called Smiggle.... I love stationary and so does she. And I got a Spotlight voucher.... Fabric here I come!

 

Chantelle found ths old photo of us when we were 17 at a Deb ball... Oh how horrible I look... I love chocolate so she got me flakes as well.

Rachelle got me red and white wine glasses because I have none left, I broke them all. So that was awesome! Fingers cross I don't break these.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my birthday...eeek I'm 27 and I really don't feel it. I feel 21, some people think I'm 21..not sure if that's a compliment or if they think I'm immature. The mother is law visited me yesterday at work to give me my present. I got a $60 voucher to a friends beauty salon in town, so I'm booking myself in for a facial baby!! Not sure what the boy is getting me, I haven't really requested anything off him so should be interesting. BUT, knowing the hopeless bugger he hasn't got me anything. Hey if he remembers I'm happy with that :)

I'm going out for dinner with my girlfriends tonight to a pub in another little town called Branxton which is about 15 min drive. They have done up the pub there and it looks beautiful!

I'll post up my outfits from today sometime tomorrow....

Just one free weekend would be nice!

ARRRGGGGGHHHHH I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO FEBRUARY OR MARCH!!!

So... how was everyone's weekend? My consisted of working Saturday till 1pm, came home cleaned one cupboard with all the pots and pans, then had to wash all the pots and pans...MISSION. Sunday cleaned more in the morning, had lunch with to dear friends Stef and Jackie till 2pm, then had to go to a Underparty at my sister in laws and bought a $75AUD sports bra.... Yeah I know $75AUD My boobs better not move an inch while I'm at the gym. Then headed to see my bestie Stef again for a quick drink before Ben came home from work.

Now pretty much every weekend in February and EVERY weekend in March I have something on... what do these people think I am made out of money..... ARGH!!!

All in February I have:

Saturday 6th: Baby shower

Saturday 13th ANOTHER baby shower

Saturday 20th: AC/DC in Sydney

Sunday 21st: Fly to Melbourne at 9:15am arrive 10:45. Head to Good Vibrationns festival that day

March

Saturday 6th March: House warming up the coast (4 hour drive) two friend have finished building their units so we'rehaving a party

Saturday 16th: Natalie's Hen's weekend in

Friday 19th: Natalie's Wedding at the vineyards

Saturday 27th: An engagement party in Newcastle (1 hour away) then I free tickets to a gig in Newcastle as well.

Does someone PLEASE want to exchnage spots with me.... Hey I love my friends dearly but I'm trying to save for trip to melbourne, save for two weddings in October and November that we have to travel to, then save for my own wedding! ARGHHHHH!!!

ANYWAY, enough of me whinging, just needed to let that all off my chest :) So as planned I wanted to get some sewing done but I didn't get around to doing much. I have Wednesday off so no doubt I'll get back to sewing then.
