eBay Purchase

YAY! the dress I bought off ebay a few weeks from Thailand finally arrived. Considering it's from Thailand the sewing of the garment is very good. It's a very bad habit I have of looking at the sewing. I can't wait to wear it!!

I might wear it to work on my birthday so I feel a little special.

What are your plans for the weekend?  I'm working Saturday, but after work I'm cleaning my kitchen. No  I mean spring cleaning, I think we have mice again eeekkkk so I'm really dreading cleaning the cupboards but it has to be done. After I do that I am going to do some serious alterations on some dresses I bought off eBay.

This dress here I already unpicked the shoulder pads..ok I love the 80's but not that much. See how the sholuders wing out too much? I'll be cutting them off and altering the sides of the dress.

This dress is HORRIBLE on! I'll lift up the skirt abit so it's at the waist and fix the hem.

So after this weekend HOPEFULLY I'll have another two dresses to add to my closet.

To Wear or Not to Wear!

Last night the girls are I went out for dinner for our friend Rhiannon's birthday. This is the outfit I wore but I didn't end up wearing the shoes. I wanted everyone's advice on the shoes. I stole them off my Mum when she came back from the Philippines the other week.

I didn't end up wearing them and opted for some black flats instead. Here is us girls after dinner last night.

THis is what I wore to work today...SHOCK HORROR I'm wearing....PANTS! And wasn't it the most uncomfortable I have ever been! Now I know why I wear dresses all the time!

Australia Day!

Hope any aussies that follows my blog (I think there is only a few) had an AWESOME Australia Day! It was so freakin hot again this year. I think it reached to 39 degrees, we were in the pool for a good 2-3 hours. Here are a few photos from the day.

The day was a success, we didn't have as much people as we did last year so the clean wasn't that bad...well I haven't actually cleaned up that much......my head still hurts.

It's one of my bestie's birthday today, we're going out for Indian tonight as it'sher favourite. Will do a outfit post tomorrow of what I wear.

End of Style Challenge

I decided that Saturday was my last day of the Style Challenge. I didn't wear a dress today hehehe oops I actually felt like wearing shorts. Here is what I wore on Saturday to work. I had to take the photo's at work as no one could help me by taking them for me.

I feel slightly bigger in this dress because of the shape of it, but I still continue to wear it. It's nice and light so it's perfect for summer.

Today I went to look at a wedding venue with my hopes very high. I got there and it was not what I pictured in my mind so I was very disappointed. Oh well more looking around for me.

Back to work tomorrow then Tuesday is AUSTRALIA DAY  which means PUBLIC HOLIDAY. We're hosting a little PARTY and I'm so excited! I have my Australia Day outfit ready and ready to decorate the backyard with australian colours. It's days like this I'm a very proud being an Aussie!!!

Style Challenege - Day 5

Worked only for four hours today YAY! Here is another dress I have made that I decided to wear. I made this for Ben's Stepdad's 60th last November. I slightly altered the pattern it's not exactly how I wanted it but hey it looks ok on.

I apologise for the horrible photos. I couldn't take any this morning because we slept in the lounge room cause the air con is in there and Ben was still asleep. SO I had to take them after work in the kitchen  (SORRY) while Ben was AGAIN sleeping in the lounge room.

The girls are coming over for dinner tonight for Lasagne..yum yum. Then we are going to make some  cookies and watch a funny movie hehehehehe.

Style Challenege - Day 4

So forth day into the challenge and I'm finding it quite BORING! Meaning I'm really not exciting you guys with my outfits. But in a few months I have a few more style challenges that I'm thinking of doing so stay tuned.

Today was another scorcher! About 39 degree's today, tomorrow is going to be 42 degree's! YIKES!! When I got home half an hour ago I put a glass in the freezer for 10 mins to cool down the glass before I had some cordial hehehehe.

Looking at these photo's reminds how fresh and clean I felt this morning....eeeeeww I feel dirty and sweaty, time for a quick dip in the pool.

I was naughty and purchased two pairs of the same flat sandals in two different colours. I got gold and black plus they were on special. Can't wait till I get them. Oh AND I left the most funky and cutest heels at my parents which I stole off my Mum Hehehe... pity I ain't going out anytime soon :(

Yeeeoooww its Friday tomorrow and I'm only working four hours!!!

Style Challenege - Day 3

Happy Hump Day! I just wish Saturday 1pm would hurry up because that's when I can relax again. Today was my day off... I LOVE WEDNESDAY'S! Today's outfit was easy, just grabbed another dress from my wardrobe but I will have trouble tomorrow, as I am working :( .

Nothing special just a regular casual dress. Each day whilst looking through my wardrobe I think of more Style Challenges to do.... and they aren't as easy as this one. So I might attempt them next month. Here's a shot of me this morning before my haircut and after my haircut.

Next Tuesday is AUSTRALIA DAY, and us Aussies celebrate in style by having a huge party filled with bbq's, booze and beats. A radio station here called Triple J have a music poll called hottest 100. It's one of the largest music polls in the world with millions of individuals votes counted. You get to vote your top 10 songs of 2009 and then you pick your number 1 song. Then on Aus Day they count down all the songs. The type of music and artist are the likes of: Kings of Leon, MGMT, Silverchair, The ting tings, Muse, Foo fighters, Daft Punk, Red hot Chilli Peppers... You get my drift don't you? So pretty much no top 40 (thank GOD) Alot of Aussie artist get in the poll too. this year we're hosting another party as we have a pool and it's normally always hot. I ordered online some Australian decorations..... I'm so excited!!!

Style Challenege - Day 2

So second day into dress only style challenge. Today was easy peasy as I wore one of my "set" work dresses to work. I have this dress in black as well, it's pretty comfy and suits for my work in a children's boutique.

Today was very pleasant weather wise, I was cold when I got up this morning and had to put on long pants! Right now the breeze is nice and cool. Day off tomorrow, heading to Newcastle to get my haircut... I'm absolutely HATING my horrible BORING hair right now!

Style Challenge - Day 1

Well today is my first day of my Style Challenge to wear nothing but dresses all week. Now I honestly thought this would be easy but last night as I was looking through my closet and this isn't going to be easy. I'm working everday this week but Wednesday and Sunday so those days will be fine. For work I have set clothes that I wear all week which I just find it easier that way. So this week I'm going to make an effort and not wear all of those clothes this week... I'll will wear one or two pieces from it but the rest I'll use my imagination.

Now today  I am wearing a dress I made last year. I got the pattern off Burdastyle and the pattern is called Coffee Date Dress This is the second one I've made in this pattern and this is the second time I've worn it.

Engagement Party + Work Xmas Party + Bridal Expo = Weekend Over!

Boo hoo, it's Sunday night and the weekend is pretty much OVER! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was delightful. I went to my friends brother's engagement party Saturday afternoon which was lovely. Then that night I had my work Christmas party where we went for Thai... "You like Thai?", "I like tie to do you like shirt?" (Homer Simpson). Here is what I wore to the engagement party and xmas dinner.

Today Ben and I went to a bridal expo in Newcastle, we mainly went just to find a venue. But we both totally forgot about flowers, celebrant, photographer, make up etc eeeekkkk so much money and time I'm over it already! Here what I wore today, everytime

What's in my bag.... and Ebay purchase

I've seen many other bloggers do this post and Em from Passion for Fashion did one recently so I am going to do what I do best and do the same :)

This bag is Urban Originals I bought this bag a while ago and I am now just using it. Ever since high school I have always used over the shoulder bags. But for about two years now I have converted to a much more ladies shoulder handbag as I feel so silly with an over the shoulder bag. But my last bag is pretty gross now that I decided to go back to the over the shoulder bag... I've getting used it again.

Spoilt cosmetic bag with these contents: Nile fail, stingos, mini hairspray, Naploean China Doll foundation, paw paw ointment, dettol hand sanitizer, lip gloss, hayfever tablets, and lens cleaning tissues for the four eyes mosnter I am.

D&G prescription sunglasses, purse, savings account book, 2010 kikki and pen diary, USB (?????) and my trusty "I sometimes I want to throw on the road" iPhone.

I guess there not too much crap in there. Ben hates that I have a little bag filled with unnecessary products but I like having them on me for "just in case".

I was looking on eBay AGAIN the other night and I came across this oh so cute dress. No one had bid on it so it had 37 minutes to go and I placed my bid for $10.00 and BOOM 37 minutes later I won it.

It's from Thailand so fingers cross it fits. In the Philippines I'm considered FAT as all the filo's are so tiny. Whenever Mum would buy me clothes they never fit, so I tell her not to bother buying me clothes from there anymore. I have to wait three weeks for it.....EEEEeeeekkkk I can't wait that long :(

Jen from A Little Bird Told Me is doing a Style Challenge for 5 days and is banning jeans. This would be a hard challenge especially as she lives in the UK where it is freakin COLD and SNOWING! So far she is doing FAB and I think you all should take a look. She has got me thinking about doing a challenge myself, I am going to try and do a dress challenge. Try to wear a dress everday for a week, I'm going to do 7 days instead of 5. If it gets too easy I might even do two weeks, BUT you all might get sick of it so I'll see how I go.  If you don't already know I LOVE dresses. So what do you think? Should I or shouldn't I?

Hot Sticky Weather + Hardcore Sweating = YUCK!

Holy bejesus it was hot today and yesterday! Tuesday reached up 40 degrees celsius - 104 fahrenheit! Luckily I was working all day in the air conditioning to not really feel it. But I did feel it when I had to get into my car, my air conditioning in my car decided to shit itself last week. SO I'm borrwoing my Dad's in the meantime.  But last night we had to sleep in the lounge room because some bone head from a window company broke our air con in our bedroom :( AND they refuse to buy as a new one when it was their fault....HOW RUDE!

Today was my day off which consisted of the gym at 6am, washed my Dad's car at 7:30m and was dripping sweat eeeewwww gross. then chilled at home till 2pm as I had a dentist appointment. I have to get $2000 worth of stuff done to my teeth... eeek!

Of course I've been slack with the outfit posts as it's way too hot to show you my daggy "these are really comfy but ugly clothes for hot weahter" ... So here is my yummy salad I ate for lunch today, mmmm mmm it was yummy. I've been eating healthy all week, but by the weekends I indulge and binge BIG TIME!

WE are looking after Ben's brother's dog Toby for a cfouple of days. I normally don't like big dogs but toby is pretty cool. It was so hot today we let him sit inside with us in the air conditioning. I just put him back outside then because I have the girls coming over... the look on his face when I shut the door :( made me sad.

I'm going to do one of those "what's in my bag" post, I see so many other blogs do it and Em from Passion for Fashion did one recently. I have a few new post ideas and I'm thinking of doing a Australian giveaway to all my International readers. No reason for it, I haven't reached 100 followers or a desired number just wanted to give something to your lovely readers. It will be packed with some yummy aussie chocolates, foods and some other treats.

I best be off.... I'm cooking Thai red curry for my girls... yum yum.

She is the most caring, funny, loving, generous... oh gee I could just go on for days (spew noise)

Thank the Lord Monday is OVER!

Dear lordy I'm glad Monday is finally over! How was everyone's weeekend? Mine was FANTABLOUS! I worked Saturday then we rushed to Sydney about 1:30pm to head to Strike for some bowling and karaoke. I had the most amazing time with all closest and dearest friends that live in Sydney. I lost in ten pin.. surprise surprise. After ten pin we decided to get a karaoke room, I was drunk enough by this stage so I was ready for the mic. Ben and Corrine weren't that drunk and I think were cringing at mine and everyone elses singing,  so they played pool for a while. Of course I didn't take a photo of my outfit, as when I'm with my friends having fun the least of my worries is my outfit. Here are a few pics from the night

Thank GOD It's FRIDAY!

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

This has been the quickest week ever for me, and I'm stoked about it. It's Friday afternoon and I'm about to get take-away gourment pizza (mmmmmm yum) then head to a mates place for some Buzz and Singstar on PS3 and have a few beverages. Nothing major for me, I have to work tomorrow booooo hoooo but I need the money so I shouldn't whinge.

After work tomorrow I'm heading to Sydney for my best friends Stef's birthday. We are going to Strike Bowling for some ten pin bowling, fingers crossed I kick some serious ass. Tomorrow is the first day of the Sydney Festival. I have never been and I am looking forward to it very much. They have free gigs and other stuff on around the city. Stef said the city will be pumping so YAY!!!!

The lace black gloves I got from eBay arrived today. I am so in love with them. Ben called me an "idiot" cause I want to wear them tomorrow night, but I think once I wear them he won't say anything...bless him. I just like to be different and try something new every now and then.

I'm having a dilemma with what to do with my engagement ring. I'm thinking of cutting the finger bit of the glove so I can still wear my ring. I HAVE to wear it and Ben would be offended if I didn't wear it. WE'll find out tomorrow what the boss wants me to do.

Oooooooooooo I'm getting excited I probably won't sleep tonight.

WE have been through school from 5 years old to 17 years old. He is my one and only, some say soulmate my best friend. I would be absolutely lost and a complete mess without this man. He makes me laugh the moment I wake to the moment I fall asleep at night. He knows me like no other and I am so lucky to have him. And Ben is the type of guy that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE loves! February 2010 will be our ten year anniversary and November 2011 I will become Mrs.Benjamin!

Music

Beside fashion, music is one of my other loves, I pretty much listen to music everyday. I am so lucky to have a great group of friends that share this passion with me. Gigs, festivals and concerts are what brings us all together lately as we don;t get to see each other as much as we used to. The genres I like are rock, alternative, dance, electro, hip hop, aussie hip hop... My faves are: Silverchair, Grinspoon, Empire of the Sun, Q-Tip, The Presets, Coldplay, Rage Against the Machine, Chemical Brothers... I could keep going.

Friends

I have the most amazing friends ever! And very lucky Ben and I have the same group of friends as well. All my girlfriends are very special to me and deserve a medal being my friend. I can be very bossy, cranky, moody and a spolit little girl .... I know so hard to imagine right? :)  But they say I am getting better. I couldn't ever ask my any other friends I love them very much!
