The New Year is Almost Near....

So its'about 5:30pm on New Years Eve here in Down Under and its muggy as f#@%. Stupid overcast skye, drizzle rain and humitity...YUCK! I'm hoping and praying for no rain tomorrow whilst at Field Day.

Well my New Years Eve will consist of....NOTHING! Ben and I are staying in tonight, I am on the computer and he is playing PS3 and we're both fine with that. Later tonight we will watch the Sydney fireworks on the TV and that will pretty much be our excitement. It doesn't even feel like new years eve to me, how sad really.

I hope you all have a wonderful night and party hard because I will be partying hard tomorrow at Field Day!

May 2010 bring new and exciting adventures to us all!

YEEEEOOOOWWWW Field Day tomorrow!!!

Braced the Sales.... and didn't even find anything on SALE!

I went back to Kotara Westfield with my friend Corrine, her boyfriend and his mate yesterday. And all I can say is why did I even bother. It was absolute MADNESS! Corrine and I were on search for an outfit for  a music festival called Field Day this New Years Day in Sydney. It's been raining on and off since Christmas in Sydney and my home town, the weather says 27 degrees with possible showers. So I'll be sticking to jeans or shorts. This is what I got yesterday whilst shopping.

Volcom white singlet...it's very comfy.

Some Lulu brand singlet

This cool white hat, the brand is called Rude Lucy.

SO I'm thinking what I'll wear to Field Day is this top

With shorts or jeans

And my new hat! I prefer to wear hats to a festival if I think it's going to rain... saves my hair getting wrecked.

I'm not as excited as I normally am about a festival. I think because Ben isn't coming with me :( as he goes back to work New years day. He worries whenever I go to Sydney without him to a festival. I'll spend new years eve with Ben, we'll maybe go out for dinner just the two of us and go home for a early night. Then I'll party hard for the two of us while he's at work hehehe.

So here's a little taste of what Field Day actually looks like.

Ok maybe after looking at that photo, I'm excited! YEEEOOOWWW!

What are your plans for New Years?

December and Christmas Update!

YAY! I am FINALLY back!! My internet is back to speed now and I am the happiest girl ALIVE. One exciting thing happened at the start of the week... which of course I could not fill all you lovely ladies in on because of my stupid slow broadband. On Monday the 21st about 6pm my town was hit by a mad hail storm. I came home just before it hit, and Ben was on your front porch watching the storm. He wants to be one of those storm and tornado chaser guys....He make me laugh so much. So anyway we had a little bit of damage. Where our computer is used to be a sun room/verandah and the previous owners turned it into a inside room which comes off our kitchen. All that leaked water so we had pots.pans, and containers all over the place. And a window in our bedroom smashed :( someone from the insurance company is coming to check out our house tomorrow.

Here are a few pics for you.

Our front yard... my poor little car. WE finally got a white christmas :p

Our back yard.

Christmas Day was like any other christmas for me... long and slow! But this year was my first xmas without my Mummy :( Dad and I took her to Sydney airport on the 23rd. She is spending 3 weeks in the Philippines with her family. My brother which is actually my half brother (we have the same Dad but different Mum's) he came up. Ben and I had xmas lunch at our place with my brother and Dad. So I was up at the crack of dawn cooking food. Then late afternoon saw Ben's family which is more exciting as my family is very low key and quiet. When Ben's family love hitting the booze and having fun so I brought my brother along. I didn't get too spoilt this year but I still got everything I wanted which was awesome.

Ben got me a webcam so I can finally talk to one of my besties on Skype who is overseas. Off Ben's family I got an umbrella for our table in our pool and a 2010 diary. My parents gave Ben and I money and my brother got me a David Jones voucher, and this is what I treated myself with today.

I used my David Jones voucher and got more primer, foundation and stationary for me to write to my penpals.

I went into Kikki which is a stationary store and got more stationary, a shopping list pad to put on the fridge and then a meal planner pad. I plan all my meals out each week... yes I am freak and weirdo!

And got some clothes too...Hehehehhe

I did buy some other tops but I have already worn them and are dirty so I can't show them.

What's everyone up to for New Years Eve? I'm chilling at home with Ben New Years Eve then going to Sydney New Years Day for a music festival... I CAN'T WAIT!

I'm hoping to catch up on everyone's blogs today and tomorrow. Sorry for being so slack, I feel so much better the internet is back on now.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays everyone!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! So very sorry about the lack of posts. My internet will be back to normal by Monday...that's so far away :p

I've had a few post ideas but haven't been able to do them because of this stupid slow internet...I'm slowly dying of withdrawals.

Can't wait to see what everyone got for xmas and what they did. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Lots of love

Eat SHIT Simon Cowell and X-Factor! RATM for xmas No.1

Hahahahahahaha eat big fat hairy shit Simon Cowell and Joe McElderry you didn't get the UK No.1 for Christmas! To make a long story short two, John and Tracy Mortor of Essex decided to set up a protest campaign on Facebook and promote Rage Against the Machine as a possible contender. Rage Against the Machine has promised a huge free gig in the UK... My god I wish I was there for that. I have seen the band twice a few years ago but seeing them again would be awesome!

Ok I know alot of my followers and the blogs that I follow LOVE this X-Factor show. I'm glad we don't have it here in Australia as we already have Australia Idol and I want to neck myself every time I see a bloody ad. But I can understand everyone in the UK getting sick of these fabricated artists getting No.1 when they don't deserve it. But it is the public who are buying the singles, but goes to show real artist's who make their own music and write the own songs should be more recognised.

The funniest thing about this Joe McElderry hadn't even heard of RATM or the song "Killing in the Name" and said he can't believe this song could get to No.1 as they are just yelling. Yelling? AND that they wouldn't survive the X-Factor bootcamp! I laughed out loud for so long after reading that. X-Factor bootcamp? Please, they don't need to go X-Factor.

For those of you who don't know who RATM are they are a Aemrican band from Los Angeles their music is a blend of alternative rock, punk rock, hip hop, heavy metal, and funk as well have revolutionary politics and lyrics. But as I said I kbnow most of you ladies love X-factor so most of everyone wouldn't like this music. But i'm telling you when I listen to them I get pumped up and seeing them live was a amazing experience. the energy of the crowd and I had goosebumps pretty much most of the show.

So Simon Cowell.... FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WANT YOU TELL ME... RATM FOR CHRISTMAS NO.1!!!!

Stupid Slow Broadband!

Just a quick update to let you guys know I'll try my best to post on my blog for the next 2 weeks. Somehow we have gone over our limit on our broadband..which we think is absolute shit! As we have been downloading the same or even less amount of music. Ben think's someone else is using our internet too, he knows more about this as he's the technology nerd. It's so slow it's unbelievable, it will go back to normal on the 27th of December! ARGH I'm dying without the internet. HELP!

pip xxx

P.S Australia is so slow with technology.... we are like at the bottom of the world list for broadband, we get tv shows late, and I think half the wolrd even forgets we are evena  country!

Hair History-What was I thinking?

A few weeks ago Emma from Passion for Fashion did a post on her hair history from when she was little till now. I have thought about it but always forgot, but when I saw Emma do it I thought it would be a laugh to see what I looked like with long hair. I couldn't find any baby pictures or any photos from 2001-2003 but there are a few I found so be nice :)

Preschool I was 5 years old here. Such a happy little girl aren't I?

I think this is me in Year 2 so I was about 7 here. Look at my rotten teeth hehehehe.

I'm guessing I'm 8 or 9 here. Very zoolander pose I am doing. Look at my Mum's hideous glasses!

Jazz ballet photos in my last year of Primary School at 11 years old. And yes that is a perm!

1997 when I was 14.. this was my grunge/alternative phase where I finally discovered rock and whore green army pants and doc martins. Look at my Silverchair shirt I'm like so totally cool! Hahahahaha

I think this is when I was 15. I was in love with the band called the Superjesus and a girl was the lead singer called Sarah. I took a picutre in to the hairdresser and got my haircut exactly like hers. This isn't it, this must of been after I got it cut.

1999 16 years old going to my first Big Day Out in Sydney... my pink hair is so cool! :)

My deb ball in 1999 with my Mummy!

New Years Eve 2004-2005 in a Sydney. Sorry for the wasted photo. for a year or two I did the mullet/mowhake. I look back now and wonder how I pulled it off especially with the crazy and weird clothes I wore. I wih I could still dress like that but I simply cannot.

Early 2006 mullet gone. Ben took me to Melbourne for our 6 year anniversary. I thought Benwas going to propose..how silly of me!

Mid 2006... hair longer and now red????

December 2006.. now black hair.. jesus!

February 2007...getting shorter

The back of my hair was shorter. This was copied style from Victoria Beckham.

Then the chop of one side. I had this haircut for about 1-2 years. Finally cutting it off this year. Through out the 2 years I had different various done to the style.

My new haircut last month!

WOW! that took a while didn't it! I have always had amazing hairdressers that know my loko and style and cut my hair to suit it. The hairdresser I have now is a guy called Lee in Newcastle. He has been cutting my hair for almost two years now and I trust him big time! I hope he'll be my hairdresser for a long long time.

I survived the camping weekend!

It's Monday morning and I survived camping for the whole weekend. The only downside was being biten by mozzies, as I am allergic to the bastards and I swell up in massive welts. One bit me Friday night in the middle of my forehead and it was an ongoing joke I had a penis on my head... Then Saturday night I got another bite on the right side of my forehead! along with more welts on my thighs and neck..ouch they are so ITCHY!!! Here a few photos from the weekend I did't take too many as camping isn't very glamous :)

The annoying bush turkey that kept going through our rubbish at 5am!

Our set up

Everyone on the beach

While the boys went fishing us gils gave Ethan a tub..he is the cutest ever! I am in love with him!

Ethan and I

Playing Kings and got dared to wear a pot on my head.... the girls have great imaginations don't they?

I guess camping wasn't so bad, Ben and I are going to do our own trip just the two of us in February when school holidays finishes. Saturday morning the first thing he said to me was "I love you my little camper!" I said back "Are you still drunk?" and I think he was ha ha ha ha.

The dress I bidded on eBay arrived Friday before we left for Seal Rocks. Oh my god it has shoulder pads it's so funny! I'll post it tomorrow.

Hope you all had fun weekends.
what did you get up to?

Op Shopping

Today I was off from work so I went for a hunt to all the local op/thrift stores. This weekend I was suppose to be going to a surprise dress up party but sadly I am not anymore :( Ben and I are going camping with two another couples. This is the first time I'll ever be proper camping, like I mean in a tent and no showers. We are only staying two days and the beach is right near us. Plus Ben is buying me a little shower bag thingy... you leave it in the sun so the water gets warm, he's so thoughtful. I like to go to bed after a nice clean shower.
Your probably thinking why the hell is she going camping? Ben loves camping and the spot we are going to he went there alot with his family when he was growing up. His Dad past away from cancer in 2001 and we scattered his ashes at Seal Rocks....so it's a special place for him. And Ben said when we have kids we will be camping so I guess I better start getting used to it now...EEEKK!
So hence why my trip to the thrift stores to find some cutlery, frying pan, plates etc. I didn't find much but I did find this cute scarf.

Just before I was putting away my washing, I decided to look at the tag on the scarf... it's a very well known Australian Fashion Designer Leona Edmiston she makes elegant, versatile and ageless frocks. The scarf looks pretty dated so I'm not sure how old it is... probably either from the 80's or 90's! So I'm pretty stoked with my find and it was only $3!

Yesterday was stinking hot AGAIN! I went for a swim by myself last night..swimming by yourself is so boring.

I wish Friday would hurry up!!!

Christmas time = no clothes shoppping... SO I LAYBY!

Last week I put a few things on layby from Just Jeans. I am in serious need of some tops and singlets for Summer. I have to stop buying dresses...Mind you I laybyed another three dresses today..OOPS! Here are a few things I got.

The manager at Just Jeans (where I used to work at) said this top is very me!

I love this top! I like how it's oversized, I can't wait to wear it... so comfy.

This dress had 2 for $100 so I bought a black and nice water blue colour one. I got these dresses for work. I love wearing dresses to work as it's comfortable and easy, means I don't have to think in the morning.

I got another top but it's not on their website so you'll have to wait till I get my layby out.
I do have an obession with dresses... I just bidded and WON this vintage 80's nautical sailor polka dot dress... it's so god dam cute, fingers cross it fits me.

I have a festival on New Years Day I could wear it to that? I even have a sailor hat I can recycle! Even better... But it will probably be over 35 degrees on New Years Day so something light and comfy would be a better option.

What do you think of the dress?

Holiday Swap Present

I finally got my present together for the Holiday Gift Swap these gift swaps are pretty cool and fun. For all of you out there that don't know what the Holiday Gift swap is, it's when you get a partner to buy for and the limit to spend $10-$15. You get told what your stuff/things your partner likes and it's up to you what surprise you get them! Here is my gift

I'll be posting it off tomorrow!

Sunday I had my nieces baptism, Ben couldn't make it as he was at work :( Ben's sister's husband Mat was also a godparent for our little niece Saraya. She was over photo's as it was so hot and she was wearing a long dress.

Mat and I with Saraya

Ben's brother Luke (the father), Mat, ME, Melanie (the mummy)... All my lovely in laws

This was the dress I ended up wearing. I got for $39.95 from Jay Jay's and it was worth every penny... I ended up breaking one of the straps...boo hooo

Stay tuned for a hair history post. Check out Emma's from
Passion for Fashion Hair History she has inspired me to do one as well... As I've had a few hairdo's in my 26 years!
