Why hello there.........

Oh how I've missed you all! I hope you've missed me! Well alas I have been MIA for quite sometime. Life just gets a little hectic sometimes and the last thing I want to do is blog....

So what's been happening since the last time I blogged... well

Started renovations on our house
Turned 30 in February. Yes I know, I don't look a day over 21 :)
Started a veggie garden
Became a care taking regional manager whilst my regional was away. Learnt so much!
Growing my hair out
Trying to change my eating habits
Started a new blog about quitting sugar and eating more whole foods
Finally got a decent camera Nikon D5100

The main reason I hadn't been blogging because I was comparing myself so much to other bloggers, and it was getting to me. Come on, don't tell me you've had blogger envy! But, I've grown a little wiser since my long break. It's time to stop comparing myself to other bloggers. My main concern was taking photos. I had the crapest little digital camera. The best thing it can do is take under water photos. For my 30th I asked for either a puppy or a Digital SLR camera. Unfortunately I didn't get the puppy *sad face* but got the camera I wanted. I still don't know what the hell I am doing with the camera. It's fun playing with all the different settings. I've finally got to take some shots in my backyard today. I had even more fun playing around with the Nikon photo editor.

I've also been dreading taking photos of myself as I am growing my hairstyle out. Time for a change I think. I'm still staying short but adding some more length  I'm going something like this.

Obviously not that colour, just the style.

But my big news is...... I've started a new blog called Sugar Free Babee. It's just about my journey trying to quit sugar and start eating more whole foods. So please follow me if you're interested in foods and changing your eating habits to whole clean eating. I'm not going too hardcore just yet. It's all about slow changes so they become a normal part of your life.

The amazing Brielle from Studio Eleven created my new blog design. You should check out her Etsy Shop Studio Eleven. If you mention me (pipalachic)  in the 'notes to seller' at the checkout, you'll get a free signature and favicon!! Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

What's everyone up to for Easter?? The husband and I are heading to Newcastle this afternoon for my first EVER Soccer game (I think alot of other countries call it Football). Newcastle Jets vs Western Sydney Wanderers. Pretty excited for that. Then work on Saturday then off Sunday Monday.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter! Don't eat too many Easter eggs, I know I will be!

One Year Today!

Today is our first wedding anniversary!
We've been together for almost 13 years
Went to kindergarten to Year 12 together
We've grown up and been through so much together
I get told so much how lucky I am to have Ben
He's the guy EVERYONE loves
He makes laugh every day without fail
Life just wouldn't be the same without him.

Back from the Dead!

WELL well well  it's been a couple of months since I've last blogged. I just haven't been in a blogging mood. I'm hoping it was the crappy winter weather. But you know how life gets a little busy some times. At this point in time I feel more comfortable at where my life is and feeling really really happy!! SO lets hope more blogging as well!

So what have I been up to in the last few months:

We've taken our old kitchen out and got a new one. It still isn't finished!! But once it is I'll post a pic up. I love having a handyman husband!

The dreaded 30th birthday parties. Didn't think all my friends and I turning 30 would come quick!

Spending more time with my girlfriends.

Saw Regurgitator live at the HiFi Bar!

Parklife in Sydney. Must say though, I think that will be my last festival with that type of music. I might stick to laid back festivals from now on.

Think I might add an outfit post in here as well!

Dress: Melody Textured Dress Cotton On
Shoes: Cilla T Bar Sandal Cotton On
Bracelets: Cotton On Charity Bracelets

This is what I wore to work on Friday. This dress comes in four colours. You guessed it, I've bought three of the four dresses. If it feels nice on and looks good I'll buy more!

Any who.... It's a little hot so I'm off to have another glass of wine and catch up on some blogs!!

I've missed you all so much!

Flower Power

Top, Jeans and scarf: Cotton On, Shoes: Rubi

I have a slight obsession with floral pants and tights. Last week I was wearing normal plain denim. My husband was shocked and said, "Are you wearing NORMAL jeans today? Are you feeling ok?". I wore these to work yesterday.

Megan from Time After Tea is doing a post on Florals as it's coming very close to Spring here in Australia. If you have a photo of yourself rocking anything floral shoot Megan a email. Here's the link to her post.

DO you wear anything floral?

Outfit Post!

Bolero: Just Jeans, Dress: Cotton On, Tights: Rubi, Boots: ROC, Necklace: Cotton On

This is what I wore to work today. Soooooooomany new and nice things are coming into work. At the start of each month we have to VM (visual merchandise) the whole store, in separate brands. So every month we get sent new stock... I'm like a kid in a candy store. Managers get 25 items at 50% off each month. It's only the 7th August and I've already used 18! That's NUTS!! 7 of them were for my best friend Stefanie who was in town last weekend... still that's 11 to myself in 7 days...whoops.

I purchased a body con dress today from work...*SHOCK HORROR* I know right?

I don't normally wear fitted clothing... well not for a good 5-6 years I haven't. I'm willing to give it a go. Everyone has their own little insecurities of their bodies and mine is wearing fitted clothing. I also bought this super cute skirt from work.

I bought a navy one with white polka dots. Cannot wait to wear it!

Till next time lovelies xxx

Outfit of the Day: Squares

Dress, Blazer, Tights: Cotton On, Long sleeve Top: Portmans,Bag: Rubi, Boots: ROC

This is my work outfit I wore today. I had a half day today, so it was nice to relax all afternoon. This dress from work, I bought in three different prints. I know, I can't help myself. I'm sure you will all see all three prints eventually :)

Over the last few weeks I've bought a few sheer tops. I haven't worn them yet as I'm not used to wearing these pastel colours. I'll have to get the courage to wear them very soon.

The top two are the same top but different colours. I have a black one in this same top as well.  The last one, I love the mint colour of it. I tried pairing it with pastel pink, but it just didn't look right on me. Might try it with purple maybe....

Today I got these little goodies.

Sadie Slipper from Rubi $19.95

Scuba Peplum Top $19.95.

The peplum top comes in other colours and their walking out the door in my store, it's insane!! The photo doesn't do it's justice. Here's the one from the online store.

Isn't it gorgeous!!!

At the moment at Cotton On, if you join up to our mailing list you can get 30% off online!! If your interested you can send me an email with your first and last name along with the email address you would like the coupon code emailed to.  I can enter all your details into the database at my work.

Bring back the 90's!!!

Top, Jeans, Scarf: Cotton On, Shoes: Rubi

If you follow me on instagram you'll notice I have a slight obsession with printed jeans and tights. I forgot to take a proper photo with my camera this morning. So I got one of the girls at work to quickly take a photo. So apologises for the blurry photo.

All this floral reminds me being in primary school and LOVING the Australian girl band, Girlfriend. They were HUGE back in the day. I really do love 90's fashion... I think the 90's are the new 80's.

I love wearing bright wacky prints. Makes me smile.
